SwimRun is the fastest growing adventure sport globally. +450 races world wide.
It appeals to the high LSM outdoor adventure individual, aligned to Subaru’s target market.
Athletes include Ironman, Runners, Swimmers, Cyclists and general outdoor athletes, as well as combining elements of obstacle course racing (e.g the popular Warrior Race). SwimRun is through the natural environment, providing a unique experience.
Torpedo has successfully launched the first SwimRun in Africa – Torpedo Cape Town with great interest and success across the media and the adventure audience.
The founders are originally from the Cape Epic, and therefore guarantee excellent event and sponsor returns, and delivery.
In 2018 we will roll out Wilderness and JHB events, as well as KZN to cover all major centres promoting Subaru. These will be iconic stage races, similar to the popular mountain bike events; and will culminate in a Grand Finale event in Cape Town annually as the South African SwimRun Champs.

Social media posts profiling Torpedo SwimRun Route Profiles. Torpedo will manage and provide monthly stats on the social media reach. Route fly overs + route profiles + route maps – all to carry the Subaru composite logo. Per month boost to be spent by Torpedo on direct marketing on social media of the partnership [Amount] to be agreed and signed off by Subaru
Route markings to be branded by Subaru. This is correx boards on land and inflatable markers for the water. [Amount] to be agreed and signed off by Subaru. Managed by Torpedo. Route marking to be produced once and re-used for all events
