Torpedo Cape Town Long Course
An extraordinary SwimRun race at the foot of the Twelve Apostles and 7th Natural Wonder of the World.
SwimRun Cape entry includes:

Required to enter:
- Team of two
- Two equally competent athletes start and finish together and cannot be separated by more than 10m
- Compulsory Gear: Wetsuit (short arms and legs permitted) + Running Shoes + Whistle (bring your own)
- All entrants are required to complete and pass an online Ocean test prior to racing. The test covers safety elements, emergency protocol and race rules. The questionnaire is by Christina Geromont who completed a thesis on SwimRun, and her paper "Swimrun race, athletes, safety and performance: A brief review" can be found here.

- 6x Runs – Total = 12km
- 6x Swims – Total = 4km
- Total Combined – 16km
Torpedo gear provided:
- Torpedo swim cap
- Torpedo race vest (to be returned)
- Mobii timing chip (to be returned)
- Emergency number wrist band
Hydro points on the route:
- Racefood: Hydro Point 1 – Top of Llandudno climb (Victoria Drive)
- Bootlegger: Hydro Point 2 – Bootlegger coffee shop Bakoven (Victoria Drive)
- PURA Hydration: Finish Line – at Clifton 4th
Event cost:
- Team of 2: R1,200 per person (R2,400 per team of 2)
- 6 Guns: R1,050 per person (6,300 per team of 6)
