Just you, the water, and the trail. Athletes switch between swimming in the ocean, rivers, or dams and running along rugged paths or shorelines, with multiple transitions along the way. It's sport stripped back to something raw, something joyful — something that makes you feel like a kid again.
Torpedo SwimRun offers a full spectrum of adventure — from family-friendly races set in some of South Africa's most beautiful outdoor locations, to the untamed Atlantic edge of the Cape Town Skins SwimRun. There, taking on 12 icy swim legs earns you hardcore status alongside some of the country's top athletes.

The fastest athletes in the field. Ranked by a hybrid index of 5k run times and 400m swim performances. Highest ranked teams pick first.
Sponsor Selection
Sponsors invest from R10,000 and bid for the teams they want. Athletes gain professional backing. Brands get their logo on a human racing the most beautiful coastlines.
Live Draft Event
Not a quiet process. The Draft is a live, energetic event where sponsors and athletes meet face-to-face. Deals are made. Teams are formed. Magic happens.
